Above is a picture of our new digital "command center". This area
and equipment will be used to produce a finished product (CD) of digital
recordings. As a booth comes on-line, the finished recording will
be sent via a intra-network to the central computer where it will be
checked for errors, then mastered onto a CD or tape, according to our
customer's wishes. We are currently in the setup and testing
stages and are to begin producing digital recordings out of booth 4 in a
We are continuing our collection project
- Collecting used ink jet printer cartridges. A
local business is offering money for used cartridges and we are asking
everyone interested to bring their used cartridges to the Studio and drop
then in the designated collection box. Of course, you can ask your
family, friends, co-workers, and employers to give their used
cartridges to you in this effort to raise funds for the Studio.

Studio for the Reading Impaired names new director as it begins its 25th
Studio for the Reading Impaired has named Ann Rich full-time head of
operations as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. Rich, who previously
was with Home Services Lending in Louisville, replaces Betty Zielinski
who retired after serving as Studio Director since 1999. She joins the
Audio Studio as the custom recording facility is moving from traditional
